Village Grape Vine... We make great wine!
ABOUT US
Village Grape Vine was an idea conceived from a couple of bottles of wine in a hot tub one night in 1998 and opened for business eight weeks later. Our concept was to establish a solid client base by specializing in making only top quality wines at the expense of extra profit. Our reputation grew and within two years the Brew on Premise facility had to expand to two floors proving that this idea was what the industry was waiting for. We recognize that our wine making clients are also a sociable crowd so we organize several fun events each year such as Pub crawls by bus, an annual Tall Ship dinner cruise in June, and winery tours to the Niagara wine region. This emphasis on fun is carried over to our store where making and bottling your wine is always an enjoyable experience. We encourage non-profit groups to enquire about our fund raising opportunities.

FAQ'S
Why are those Crystals In My Wine?
Grapes naturally contain several organic acids including tartaric acid . They also contain potassium and calcium ions which form salts with the organic acids. As you may already be aware, these salts can precipitate out of the wine to form a material called potassium (calcium) bitartrate. This is a clear (sometimes red or brown), crystalline material. They are also referred to as ``wine diamonds,`` but vintners also call them ``tartrates.``
